Dynamic Diva on Race In America
Race in America is a touchy subject that the Dynamic Diva has to confront today. “Can’t we all get along?”, the infamous words of Rodney King comes to mind as a write this post. I know we can. The question is, do we REALLY want to?
I say I resounding YES! At the very core of our most spiritual selves, we do want to live in peace and harmony on this earth. But until we, Americans, deal with the racial polarization that is so prevalent today by talking, coming up with effective plan of action to bring the races together, and putting the plan into action, the phenomenal speech of Barack Obama would have fallen on death ears. Hopefully, this will not mean the death of this country politically, socially, economicially or morally.
Barack Obama has been saying over the last year, “Yes, we can…….solve the racial divide.” A lot will be accomplished
when we put him in office as a symbolic gesture that this country is ready to heal on all levels.
