Yes, Oprah called!!!!!!

I did start the New Year stating that 2008 was going to be great, but I must admit that for www.thedynamicdiva.com, it been absolutely spectacular as for as cheap pr/mrkt. is concern.

In a span of 10 days, we did the Michael Baisden Show, we are going to be featured in April’s Issue of Essence Magazine and Oprah called to invite us on the show: The Dynamic Diva Spiritual stuff really works(www.thedynamicdiva/tools.html): Can you see it! This is the product of the Law of Attraction in Action. It can not get any better that this,or can it?

Listen, many people write books and do fantastic things, but never get a phone call from Oprah w/o investing hundreds of thousands of dollars on PR from top companies and even that sometimes does not even work. Moreover, my books and websites are all self-published. But, when you got the Diva on you side, anything is possible. This is the first lesson in the bless’in:Anything is possible if you dream big,pray, meditate, visualize, and affirm it.

This time I was not chosen to be on Oprah’s episode entitled “Law of Attraction”. Many of you may not know it, but I am in the “The Louise Hay Movie”. She is the mother of this New age/metaphysical movement and publishes the work of Wayne Dyer,Deepak Chopra and many other self-help gurus.

She is one of my favorite and I have been following her work for years and she has help in me, indirectly, achieve my Dynamic Diva Dreams. She deserves to be on Oprah and I am recommending all of you check out next week show because it is going to be life changing!!!!

Anywho,you might be thinking, but “Elon you did not get the show, even though you manifested the call,what happened?”

Denial, does not mean no! Here lies the second Lesson in the Bless’in:we all have tried to wish and will or dreams into reality and when it does not show up the way we think they should,we think this means no and give up. This is further from the truth. It just means not NOW!!!!!!!

Patience is a virtue and it is called for in this situation. This is the time to thank God for the call and continue to do the work.You must keep fixed, focus and the faith. I hope you got the message.

The same thing happened with the Michael Baisden Show. I was suppose to be on the show six months ago but it was cancelled. And six month later, I did the show: So, no worries. When something is meant be,it will happen.

California has been very good to me and Dynamic Diva Dollars has exploded! I appreciated all the sell-out audiences in attendance.

We have done several book signing and a financial fitness party that put 16K back in one Diva’s pocket w/o changing her job! She gave herself a raise just by learning how to make her money work for her instead of she working for her money.

I want to personally thank the help of the Dynamic Mooney Twins. These brothers are fabulous conscious comedians who are about wealth building for the California community too.

Additionally, I’d like to thank Makena of Ashe Marketing for helping bring the book signing to San Diego. It was a pleasure to share hugs, kisses and tear of joy with the many Divas who are ready to become financially free and a millionaire.

Divas know how to shop until we drop! My book, Dynamic Diva Dollars discusses the important of honing savvy saving secrets so we can save and invest our money to make more money.

Here is an example of how I saved $600.00 dollars when I bought much needed luggage:

I needed luggage so bad. Since I have been on my national Dynamic Diva Dollars book signing tour traveling to over 22 cities, my luggage has taken a major beating. The pieces were already worn out from the normal wear and tear of traveling with me for over ten years. When I started the tour, back in May, I knew I needed luggage but I had to wait until August for a good discount. August is the end of travel season, so most stores have sales on their luggage items. The best time to shop for any items and get a great discount is when they are going out of season.

I went to my favorite clothing store for the family, Kohls. They had a buy one get one free luggage sale!!!!! Additionally, My husband applied for a Kohl’s credit card and got an additional 15% off the price of the luggage. He was thinking that it would cost us $1200.00 for good quality luggage. Oh contraire, my friend….. Never fear, the Discount Dynamic Diva is here. 

I got six pieces of Docker luggage with the average bag costing $200 bucks for $588.00 dollars for the whole family! I saved my family and I over $600 (I can take the money I saved and invest it in my kids commodities account so it can make more money for me)!  The luggage is a top brand-very good quality-and I know it will last us another ten years.

It is very important that you be economical and not cheap with your dollars. Cheapness cost you more when you buy low quality items only having to replace them more often. I believe in being very economical with my dollars. When I buy, I factor in quality, time and money. You may want to, also.

Since I use the luggage for business purposes, I maybe able to write-off some of the luggage. (Check with your accountant for the specifics).

You make money saving and investing it instead of spending it. When I shop for any items, I always buy, only, during a sale and I buy, only, when I need them.

Hey Divas,

I am in New Orleans celebrating with Essence and doing a book signing in honor of the resurgence of the “New” New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Essence honored & celebrated those who have passed. Then got done to the business of party with the purpose of political, economical, spiritually and socially empowering the people.

New Orleans needs a lot of love. More than 200,000 people are still living in trailors; housing prices have gone up while incomes have not; 70 schools are still closed;there is not mental health care; and hospital facilities are subpar that many new orlean folks can not come back home…home to what an  almost empty shell.

And with all that said, I still believe that New Orleans is going to rise again better and stronger and not because of the government but because of the work that the people will do. And they must do it because it is clear that the help from outside (government) is going too slow for us not

So, Essence and I state “not on our watch”. I am going to return to Houston and honor essence cares and 50 million pound challenge by going to a local community facility and group to hold mentor programs for free to underserved community in the area of health and wealth…stay tune

Yes, my plate is very full and I have to raise a family, but we have to do more than enough because the need is out there. So, Divas lets practice what we preach. In Dynamic Diva Dollar I have a section on invest in Giving. I am asking you to do the same. Give more of your time with you great skills in any area of expertise and help a person….particularly a young person. They need us now more than ever.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Moreover, if you are doing nothing,you are the problem. So, let’s all invest in giving even when we think we do not have anything more to give. You will be blessed because it come back tenfolds….the more you give, the more you shall receive.

There is a strong personality difference between a millioniare diva and a non-millionaire diva.  They act and do things that contribute to what type of life they will have. Which one are you? Here are some character traits that both possess that will help you determine which category you may fall under.

If you are saying yes more in either category then that category is the type of Diva you are. A millioniare diva is a mind-set.  It is not about how much you have in the bank as much as it is about how many millions you have in your mind-your consciousness. If on the other hand, you, honestly, see yourself in the non-millioniare divia column then you are only a thought away from shifting to the millioniare diva. If you notice the millionaire diva is happy, has satisfying relationships and a good life in general. Not a perfect life but a good life. And isn’t that what we all are truly striving for. It has nothing to do with the money.  It has everything to do with having the right consciousness.

Here is a continuation of the previous blog’s great tax loopholes you want to make a part of your tax deductions.

Office Supplies
Business supplies are legal write offs. Business cards, rolodex, daily planner, pens, pencils, legal paper, glue, are all deductible.  You will have to keep the receipts. Please try to keep separate receipts for personal purchase and business purchases.  Do not pay for business items with your personal funds. Nor should you purchase personal items with your business card.
  Furniture
If you buy a computer, fax machine, copier, printer, computer desk, chair, file cabinet, bookshelves etc. to help you run your business like a professional, you will be able to deduct a portion over the course of 7 years or 100 percent all at once. As far as furniture is concern, you can deduct 100 percent or depreciate over 5 year’s period.  Check with your tax advisor for the facts about your state allowances.
  Software, newsletters, newspapers, magazine subscriptions and books.
If you purchase any type of literature that business related, you can write it off.  If you use any software that pertains to your business you may write it off.  Computer software is not 100 percent deductible the year you buy it.  The I.R.S. believes that  most software are good for up to three years, so you have to depreciate the item over a three year period.  Purchases of any magazines subscriptions, newsletters, newspapers, books and other periodicals can be written off the year you purchase them
Business Car deductions
This is a great write off opportunity for those that use their vehicle for business.  If you have two cars in the family, you can write off 100 percent deduction for the business car.  This mean if you make any repairs, registration, lease payments, parking cost, mileage, tolls, gas cost, repairs and insurance, it’s all deductible. If you are buying the car you can deduct the interest rate on the loan  and depreciation on the vehicle.  If it is a luxury car (you paid  $16,000 or more for the car), you can write off a substantial amount.
You get additional breaks with your home office. You can write off 100 percent of business related mileage from your home to a work location and the return trip home. The smart thing to do is to do several business related task within a day and the in between trips can be written off too. To be safe you must keep impeccably records of your travel in a travel log book or your daily planner.
  Travel, meals, entertainment and gifts
If your business requires you to travel, you can write off 100% of your hotel, air, railway, rent-a- car, and automobile expenses.  Unfortunately, when it comes to eating while on business you can only write of 50% of your meal.  If you treat someone to a meal that you may not attend, you can deduct the entire meal. Any other form of entertainment expenses, such as going to shows or playing golf while talking business is 50% deductible.  But if you give a gift to a client than it is 100% deductible.
